What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

Working at Compass Montessori School is inspiring because of its dedication to fostering a holistic approach to education, nurturing students' individual growth and curiosity and by fostering an intrinsic love of learning.

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

The Peace Process is my favorite Montessori lesson because it instills essential values such as empathy, conflict resolution and global citizenship from a young age. This lesson not only fosters harmonious relationships within the classroom but also equips students with lifelong skills to contribute positively to a more peaceful and compassionate world.

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori?

I was introduced to Montessori by a friend whose children were attending Compass when our first son was a baby.  My husband and I attended a parent information night and we were immediately drawn to Montessori philosophy and pedagogy.  Both of our children began their education in the Children's House where I learned even more about Dr. Montessori's child-centered educational approach.  My love of Montessori grew from there and now, twelve years later, I am proud to be part of the Compass Community, not only as a parent but also as an employee.
