What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

I love the sense of community that Compass naturally fosters for the staff, children, and families alike. Working with the whole child is beyond rewarding to watch a child start at 3 years old and grow into a 12th year student. 

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

I am fascinated with many of the math materials as I feel if I learned math through this method I would enjoy math more. My favorite math material is the stamp game.  

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

When I found this job and came in for the interview, I was hook line and sinker. I knew after the first few months I was not going back to traditional education.

Fun fact - If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent doing.....fill in the blank! 

I can do most sports with both hands even though I am left handed.
