What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

Getting to be a part of a community who is changing education and student's lives. Seeing how happy kids are to come to school. Getting the chance to make meaningful connections with our kids through trips and hands-on work.

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

The Trinomial Cube - It blew my mind the first time I realized it was a physical representation of a formula I've struggled memorizing for my academic career! I can remember it now just thinking about the pieces that make up the cube. 

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

In highschool I worked towards my associates in early childhood education, I loved learning about Montessori and saw the beauty of the environment. As a parent, I was looking for a Montessori program for my daughter and found Compass.

Fun fact - If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent doing.....fill in the blank! 

Identifying brands of clothing and accessories without looking at any labels.
