What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

After teaching a lesson to the children I often become inspired by their creativity and desire to complete creative followup work.

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

There isn't just one lesson that I love. I love to teach lessons from the Cultural part of the curriculum. These lessons are not taught for mastery of knowledge but for awe and wonder into the child, and encourage them to want to learn more. 

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

I found Montessori when I was raising my own children. I wanted an education that would guide them to be the best humans they can be; education is not just academics. 

Fun fact - If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent doing.....fill in the blank! 

To be honest, this sounds like a nightmare to me. Getting up in front of the school and performing would make me so nervous. I guess if I HAD to, I could do some type of science demonstration.
