What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

Compass is a place that brings many people together through the love of learning, a strong community, and a little bit of fun! 

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

If I had to choose, though it's extremely difficult, I think I'd say my favorite Montessori material is the pegboard. I love it because it is so versatile, as you're able to do squares and square roots, as well as other math operations. It's so simple in its design, but so complex with its work! 

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

I stumbled upon Montessori at a job fair after I graduated college. I had many interviews lined up but once I heard Cameron's Montessori/Compass elevator speech, I didn't go to a single one and wanted to work in Montessori education! 10 years later and I'm still so thankful for this amazing luck!

Fun fact - If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent doing.....fill in the blank! 

If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent poorly playing many instruments. I'm not a singer, nor am I a master at any of these instruments, but I love to play and sing songs! 

List one passion you have outside of work

A passion I have outside of work is running. I am a youth running coach, as well as a runner myself! You can often spot me on the trails or running around Golden in my tiny shorts!
