What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

Working beside children and observing their curiosities, deep conversations, and love of learning is what inspires me the most about working at Compass. 

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

This feels like a trick question. ONE of my favorite Montessori lessons is the Second Great Story: The Timeline of Life. I think that it is such a beautiful way of laying out all of the biology albums and should be presented multiple times. Seeing the students connect with something new and share their love of living things on Earth is amazing.

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

I was introduced to Montessori as a Children's House student at Compass Montessori. After experiencing both Montessori and conventional styles of education, I graduated from Colorado State University and moved to Atlanta to pursue my Montessori certification.

Fun fact - If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent doing.....fill in the blank! 

I like to think I can be pretty competitive in headstand or handstand competitions.
