What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

The most inspiring thing about working at Compass and in a Montessori environment is to see the theories I studied throughout my graduate studies and my educational career that I always felt rang most true come to life in a classroom. 

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

I love the trinomial cube! It is a perfect example of how a mathematical principle I learned so abstract and esoteric as a young person can have sensory grounding and be learned in a constructivist way that helps students internalize its meaning so much better!

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

When I had my own children, and we were considering schools for them, this is the model that felt the best.

Fun fact - If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent doing.....fill in the blank!
