What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

Each occupation supports the other. Farm grows the produce, C&K uses the produce in baked goods, Store sells the baked goods. This represents a beautiful, synchronized community. 

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

Math Lesson: Finding the distance between two points. Students have to use their knowledge of the coordinate plane and the Pythagorean Theorem to derive the equation to find the distance between two points on a coordinate plane. 

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

My mom has worked as a LE and UE Montessori Teacher for 10+ years. I was first introduced to Montessori in High School when I would volunteer in her classroom. 

Fun fact - If we held a staff talent show, I'd wow everyone with my talent doing.....fill in the blank! 

I play the harp! Started when I was 10 years old. 

List one passion you have outside of work

Hiking! My dad and I try to hike a fourteener every summer.
