What is the most inspiring thing about working at Compass, with students and/or in Montessori?

I am inspired by seeing dignified and autonomous learners move through our community and beyond. I love to see socially responsible, creative, and curious individuals cultivate a love of learning and become responsible global citizens.

What is your favorite lesson in Montessori?

This is hard, I LOVE all of the math materials. If I had to choose I would probably say the logical analysis/sentence materials. It helps the child know how to construct his words for very clear meaning and clear understanding and helps with that aspect of communication that's so important not just to children but also to all human beings. 

How were you introduced to the world of Montessori? 

I was introduced to the world of Montessori when I came to Compass at the age of 4. My education focused on the development my whole -self; social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. It helped me become a well-rounded individual who is intrinsically motivated to contribute positively to my community... and so here I am honored with this opportunity to come full circle.
